about me

Hello,

My name is Naomi and I’m a freelance translator and interpreter, currently based in Leeds, UK.

I have been a professional freelance translator since September 2019 and interpreter since July 2020. I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2019 and 2020, studying German and Italian at undergraduate level, and Conference Interpreting and Translation at postgraduate level.

As a translator, I have worked on a variety of topics, including medical and legal texts, and recently translated the English language content for several museums and memorials in Germany, such as the Kaßberg Prison Memorial Site and Centre of Learning and the Lern- und Erinnerungsort Notaufnahmelager Gießen

As an interpreter, I work both consecutively and simultaneously from German and Italian into English, and English into Italian. I have extensive experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, for both market research and conference interpreting.

I am an associate member of ITI (AITI).
